Trusted Support
💜 I would love for us to get to know each other 💜
So I have spent some time,
putting some of my story into into words for you
(it’s quite an interesting one)
about how I got my calling to this work
and followed my intuition on an incredible soul journey to get here now, sharing these skills with you…
Start getting to know me today,
whether you are thinking of hiring me, coming to an antenatal class, booking a massage
OR just want to find out more….

Why Have One to One Support Anyway?
Many women feel slightly uncomfortable at the thought of having yet another person - a stranger there when they give birth.
‘Maybe it will be too crowded?’
‘What will this person do?’
‘Surely the midwives will do everything needed?
Yet most people don’t consider that the role of our medically trained NHS midwives been
squeezed down to the bare minimum,
with her hands rhetorically tied as she is bound to hospital policies and protocols,
with masses of paperwork to complete,
this leaves her precious little time for true human and familial connection to you and your family

No time for recognition of the huge emotional transformation taking place.
Even if you’re lucky enough to have met your midwife you wont know anything about her
(or she about you and your family)
those 5 minute weigh, measure, tick box appointments leave zero time to really get to know anything about each other.
Which leaves the care that she can provide:
A one size fits all approach
And you, like me, I can bet - are not a one size fit all kind of woman!
My Investment to You

I invested 16 years and many thousands of pounds in university training
and a range of traditional birth-keeper,
space holding,
and self development skills to be of service to women like you
I will provide you with consistent, calm, and informed support throughout your pregnancy, labour, and birth
alongside NHS midwives, in hospital, or with just you and your family.
I can advocate for your preferences,
offer physical comfort,
or simply being a reassuring presence,
I am there to help your partner feel confident and in control at all times.
Some things I won’t do:
❌ Take over your birth
❌ Tell you what to do
❌ Threaten you
❌ Touch your baby unless you ask me to
Research has shown unequivocally
having the support of a KNOWN & TRUSTED companion gives you
the best possible birth outcomes
Including:
✅ quicker, smoother labour
✅ feeling more comfortable throughout your labour
✅ reducing the likelihood of cesarean sections
✅ reduces the need for epidural,
✅ better breastfeeding outcomes
Investing in your circle of support, will radically transform your experience, setting your baby up for the healthiest start in life.
Having someone by your side who truly listens, cares, and responds to your unique needs can make all the difference.
Together, we’ll ensure that your birth feels positive, empowering, and truly yours—no matter what path it takes.

whatever your circumstances are.

A little about where I am right now…

I am part of a global tribe of midwives, wise women, and birth workers who share their wisdom, support, and guidance.
This network provides me with ongoing mentorship and inspiration,
allowing me to bring a wealth of collective knowledge
and grounded care to the families I support.
With 16 years of experience as an antenatal and birth specialist,
teaching pregnancy yoga,
running NCT and private antenatal classes
running a busy sling library and consultancy
and
5 years as a doula and birth-keeper,
I bring a unique combination of
knowledge, empathy, and unwavering dedication
to every birth I attend.
What is it like, having a Doula or Birthkeeper’s support?
Families often describe my presence as calming and reassuring—like having a trusted friend or family member by their side.
I am there for you and your partner, offering the continuity and personal support that today’s maternity services struggle to provide.
I draw on a range of techniques to enhance your comfort and help your labour progress naturally.
These include massage, rebozo techniques, acupressure, and other gentle, evidence-based methods that can reduce discomfort and support your body’s natural rhythms.
My approach is always tailored to your preferences—whether you’d like these techniques incorporated or prefer a more hands-off presence.
During the last five years, I’ve supported a wide range of births—from hands-off home births to helping families organise and advocate during unplanned caesarean births. I am now offering a limited number of in-person support spaces between June and August 2025. If your due date aligns, I encourage you to reach out quickly, as spaces are limited. If your dates fall outside this time frame, take a look at my virtual doula options, designed to offer dedicated and tailored support wherever you are.

Still Have Questions?
-
No, doulas are non-medical professionals.
My role is to provide emotional, physical, and informational support.
For medical care, if you choose that route, you will still need to arrange NHS or Private Midwifery Services.
However, I can help you understand your options and advocate for your preferences in a medical setting.
-
Yes, I do support freebirth and wild pregnancies, but it’s important to have an open and detailed discussion first to ensure we’re aligned and I can support you in the way you need.
Freebirth—birthing without a medical professional present—is a woman’s legal right in the UK. As a doula, I can provide emotional and practical support during your birth while respecting your choices. I have attended freebirths before and am comfortable supporting women who choose this path, alongside any friends or family who may be present.
Wild pregnancy refers to taking full responsibility for your own and your baby’s health throughout pregnancy without assistance from a medical professional. While I do not provide medical care or advice, I can help you navigate your choices, provide resources, and support your journey as you prepare for birth.
Both choices reflect a deep trust in your body and your instincts, and I’m here to walk alongside you, offering reassurance and care without judgment. If you’re considering either of these paths, let’s connect and explore how I can best support you.
-
I cover the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire, Hereford, Monmouth, and Chepstow. If you’re nearby but not sure if you’re within my range, get in touch and let’s chat—I’d love to see how I can support you.
-
It depends. If the birth progresses too quickly or you don’t call me in time, I may offer some additional postnatal hours as a gesture of goodwill.
In the rare event that I fail to attend due to a fault on my part, the birth attendance portion of your contract will be refundable.
-
Yes, absolutely. Drawing on my training in pregnancy yoga, Spinning Babies, and Pregnancy Shiatsu Massage, I use gentle, non-invasive techniques to encourage optimal positioning.
Every situation is unique, and I can also help you navigate and understand medical options if needed.
-
Yes, I have full professional insurance to provide doula services, giving you peace of mind as I support you.
-
That’s completely okay. Every family is different, and part of my role is to help you figure out what feels right for you.
Our antenatal sessions will give us time to explore your preferences and tailor my support to meet your unique needs.
-
Absolutely. Partners play a vital role, and I’m here to support both of you. I can offer guidance, practical suggestions, and reassurance to help your partner feel confident and actively involved.
